Hedon & District Local History Society's final visit of the summer will be a guided tour of Tranby Croft , the country mansion built in 1874-6 for Hull shipping magnate Arthur Wilson, the site in 1890 of the Royal Baccarat Scandal - when Sir William Gordon-Cumming was accused of cheating at illegal card games attended by Edward, Prince of Wales - and now home to Hull Collegiate School.
